Johnathan Burton has always loved learning and experiencing new things. Writing and illustrating a book was something he set his mind to accomplish. There are only a few things that he considers himself not only to be proficient at, but also to be a professional – and saying stupid things to a pregnant woman is one of them! Learning the hard way, he has placed his foot in his mouth more than a few times and is so grateful that his wife didn’t send him to live on some deserted island, as of yet…

Johnathan, a professional opera singer, director, teacher, pen maker, artist, and writer, he places father and husband at the top of his most enjoyable responsibilities. A native to Northern California, he has written for magazines, newspapers, and various online journals in a variety of subjects. He has performed throughout the world, runs his own music studio, and is the owner and lead artist for Giovanni Pens, designing luxury writing instruments. Although always busy, he has also enjoyed the challenges of being a stay-at-home dad and considers “Daddy” the best title he could ever be given. Johnathan and his wife were expecting their second child when he started writing and illustrating this book.
